La Gaillarde Boutique Christmas Window Project.
Window Installation
Launch date: Christmas 2009

The window concept at La Gaillarde Boutique embarks the idea of an abandoned home, previously inhabiting a family with children.

La Galliarde's collections are based on 'one man's trash is another man's treasure' concept and learning the building was a family heirloom (originally a carpet supply store and the oldest store front on Notre-Dame Street West, Montreal), everything I decorated with was found in the store. Much like the reconstructed garments reborn in it's original retail origins, I pulled furniture needing to make a renewed debut, preparing it in place to showcase it's tarnished beauty. I played out a story of a child's room overtaken by winter, but decorated for Christmas to come, and those that have passed.
